DOGROY Reviews Debut Album Launch From ARROW IN THE SKY
“Mammy said that Arrow in the Sky are good boys”
(This review had to be transcribed for DOGROY by his Mother because he is too busy writing reviews to learn how to read or write.)
Arrow in the Sky is two fellas, but not gay.
When ya pull Arrow in the Sky apart, it's names is Conor McCauley and Brian Murphy.
Mammy said that Arrow in the Sky are good boys who always pay her for her time and don't pull out her hair or bite her, and that I should learn from them.
I will not.
I was at the album launch.
Arrow in the Sky were fantastic, joined on stage by guests Ger Toal and Peter Doran, with immersive visuals by John MacNair and Conor English, followed by a great DJ set by Mick Cronin.
I introduced the band before they played their album launch, where I awarded them a Golden Sandwich. I also had a special sandwich in a frame that me mother made for the samurai Aaron Quinn as a peace offering.
I gave the samurai the sandwich and it was going well, until I smelt the delicious wheaten atomic structure and I became incensed. I drew my sword to attack the samurai, but he was too quick for me and he grabbed me and carried me away from the stage for the safety of everyone.
Eventually he had to put me down because I was too fat. This was my chance. I started swinging and slashing like a windmill of steel while the samurai did backflips to dodge the assault. Eventually one of the slashes made contact, chopping off his leg and sending him plummeting from the roof of Clarke’s Bar.
The album came in a lovely box, just like what I do to me mother.
The mistake the fella on the album cover made was that he respectfully buried the other lad after he killed him, instead of choppin' him up and aytin' him.
I loved the song about The Girl Who Thought She Was A Bird
I thought she was a bird too, that's why I pushed her out the window.
I've since learned that I'm not supposed to think of girls as birds anymore and that it's “sexist” to throw them out the window.
It wasn't murder cause I didn't know she was goin' to die.
It was only girlslaughter.
An' I never heard of anyone gettin' charged with that.
I fired her out the window like an arrow in the sky because she made me dick smell bad.
She made it smell all girly.
“Fire” has it's own music video featurin' the powerful poet Paul Timoney flexin' his biceps and roarin'.
It even shows Arrow guitarist Brian Murphy doin' a blackflip and spinnin' kicks.
The moral of the video is “Don’t fuck with Arrow in the Sky”.
I really enjoyed the song Empire.
It inspired me to conquer Longford and subjugate all the dregs of society that dwell there.
Me mother's after bannin' me from listenin' to that song.
I'm also banned from listenin' to their song Fire after I did somethin' bad to a hotel full of refugees.
They used to be Ukrainian but now they're all black.
But sure look it we all had a laugh about it an' they forgave me. Me mother showed them an X-ray of me brain to convince them to not to take legal action.
Anyway I think the hotel manager is gettin' sued now for lettin' a DOGROY into the buildin'.
What a stupid traitor, lettin’ a terrorist into his hotel.
The song The Wolves Kitchen scared me too much.
I got Mammy to skip that song.
I don't think it's appropriate for someone like me to listen to.
Me favourite song in the whole album is Time of Need, because it is Jesus' very own entrance music.
It invokes a deep power that lies within us all.
I give ARROW IN THE SKY five crosses out of five
